June Favourites! Makeup, Style & More!

Hi Friends!

So as I write this it is the 1st of July so I thought I would post what I’ve been loving in the month of June!

I’m going to list five things and explain why I’ve been loving them this month.

So the month of June for me was officially the first month of my summer holidays! I finished my exams on the 18th of May and from then on I’ve been moving out of my uni house, starting a new job and I’ve been on holiday! I’ve got a mix of beauty, clothes and other items for you today, so lets get started!

Conceal and Contour…

My first two products are both makeup and both from Benefit. One is a contour product I’ve been using for a little while but only in tester form. The other is a new version of a concealer. The contour product is called Dew the Hoola Liquid Bronzer and is described as a ‘soft-matte liquid bronzer for face’.

I’ve been using this both before my holiday to add a little summer glow, and after to maintain and even out my tan. I like to use my fingers to tap it in around the edges of my face, on my cheek bones and my nose. I also own the powder version of this which I like to use over the top on my cheek bones to just add a little more definition if needed. You don’t need to use a lot of this so this bottle will hopefully last me a long time, which is helpful seeing as it £24.50. This is perhaps a little over average for a bronzer but its really nice, smooth and smells lovely!

The second Benefit product I’ve been loving recently is their new Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer. This is described as a sheer to medium coverage concealer and is great for unevenness, fine lines and undereye circles.

I purchased this after having their original Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer which they’ve also revamped. This one is a little lighter coverage than the original but that is good if you want to use it under your eyes as it won’t cake or look too heavy. I’ve been really liking this so far, I use it to brighten under my eyes mostly as well as any other blemishes that need covering. Again, on the pricey side at £17.50 but I do really like it.

Comfort AND Style?

Next up I have a fashion items, or group of items that I’ve been obsessed with recently. Having seriously gone off skin tight skinny jeans and have much prefered something comfy but still stylish. I came across a pair of cropped, wide leg trousers, and fell in love. I now have four pairs, two floral ones, of which one pair are full length and two plainer ones.

The reason I love these so much, particularly on holiday, is they are cool and light and really comfy and you can get cute patterns like these pretty florals. I also love them as an alternative to plain black trousers in interviews if you have some plainer ones. I really have been living in these kind of trousers this month! Both the pairs pictured I have bought from New Look, the first pair being £19.99 and the second £24.99. In fact I think all the pairs I have are from New Look!

Ready, Set, NAILS!

Moving on to something that I don’t want to talk about too much; due to the fact I think they warrant their own post! SensatioNail is a home manicure gel nail kit that sells starter kits as well as individual polishes and basically everything you need to get salon quality nails at home. After a bad experience at a spa I decided to take the plunge and buy a gel nail kit to do at home. I did a little research and a fair few people recommened SensatioNail, so I bought one of their starter kits for £49.99. Currently I am never going back to a salon again! I LOVE IT. I want to talk about it properly in its own post so I will leave it there, but trust me, I was SO impressed!

Elemis Love…

Finally I have a bath product. It is the Elemis Aching Muscle Super Soak aimed at warming, recharging and energizing. My mum treated me to this a while ago, however it has lasted me because you really don’t need a lot. I only use two caps full under warm water to create a beautiful bath time! Elemis is rather pricey with this 400ml being £37. In it’s defense it has THE MOST interesting but beautiful aroma with active ingredients such as Rosemary, Juniper, Thyme and Clove. It’s naturally foaming and its key ingredients create a luxurious, cleansing but stimulating bath. I only use this on special occasions or when they muscles need a little extra attention as it really helps me unwind and ease those aching muscles.

As I say it is expensive, but I think if you are a bath person and want something extra special, this is a lovely product. To be hoenst I love all Elemis products!

And there are my favourites for the month of June! See below for all the links to the products I’ve mentioned! Let me know if you have any of these products and what you think of them!

Peace & Love
